– What is the bedding configuration?
Bedrooms 1 and 2 feature queen beds, while Bedroom 3 has two single beds. We supply high-quality linen and fresh towels for all guests.
– What consumables are provided?
We include a starter kit: coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt/pepper, paper towel, hand/body wash, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, laundry liquid.
– How and when will I receive the address & key code?
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive arrival instructions by email. Your unique door code and check-in details are sent 48 hours before arrival.
– Is the property pet-friendly?
No — pets are NOT allowed.
– Are children welcome / is there a cot or highchair?
Children are welcome. Cot and highchair are available upon request, free of charge.
– Is smoking allowed?
No, smoking is not permitted.

Onsite secure parking is available to guests (carport for 2 vehicles).
– Where are the bedrooms located?
Bedroom 1 is located on the mezzanine (second floor), while bedrooms 2 and 3 are on the ground floor.
– What bathroom facilities are available in the property?
The property has two bathrooms: Bedroom 1 includes an ensuite with a walk-in shower and toilet, while Bathroom 2 is shared and features a walk-in shower, tub, and toilet, with 24/7 hot water available.
– Is the property accessible for guests with limited mobility?
The ground floor has a few small steps but is wheelchair accessible; minimal assistance might be needed. Please note that Bedroom 1 is located on the mezzanine and requires the use of stairs.

Sidney Laine was ideal. Located an easy short walk to town, yet quiet. The house is nicely furnished and fully equipped, inside and out. I had everything I needed for a comfortable, relaxed short stay down south in winter.

A special place, secluded but very close to town. Walk to supermarkets, cafes and town shops. Beautifully cleaned and presented, relaxing indoors and outdoors with everything you need at your fingertips. The Compendium had so much information, with personal recommendations from the host. The slow combustion fireplace was an absolute winner with plenty of wood supplied. So many things to see in and around Margaret River we couldn’t manage them all. For myself, highlights were horse riding at The Horse Resort with Sasha, our guide, and seeing Jewel Cave. The coastline and water colour was its own jewel! Thanks to the House Down South team, I would love to come back and stay again, and see more of south west WA. THANK YOU

Great place — we’d love to stay again!<br/>The location is fantastic, very close to town so everything is easily walkable. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. We also really enjoyed the movie selection — such a lovely touch for relaxing evenings. Highly recommend this stay!

Excellent location in the town! Hosts are simply amazing and even posted up some items we left behind. Spiral staircase is a bit steep so take care. Would stay again for proximity to bars and shops!

Our stay was brilliant
Great location right in the heart of Margaret River, and feeding the birds was a big bonus The only thing I would suggest is in the twin bedroom – they really need together rid of the medical bed and the hoist from the ceiling and replace it with a normal single bed, it was a little bit spooky having that there thinking obviously someone wasn’t well that slept in that room, my daughter and her friend where very spooked out staying in that room

Everything about our stay was incredible! The place was spotless, beautifully set up, and exactly as described (if not better). The location was perfect—close to everything, with plenty of cafés, shops, and attractions within easy walking distance. The little touches made it feel so welcoming and comfortable. The host was fantastic—super friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience seamless. I couldn’t recommend this stay more highly and would definitely love to come back!

The house down south was an absolute dream! The location couldn't have been more central, making it easy to explore everything the town has to offer. The home itself was gorgeous and had such a warm, homely feel – it immediately felt like a home away from home. I loved the log burner, the cozy living room and the well-equipped kitchen. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I could need. I'm already planning my next trip and will definitely be booking this place again. Highly recommended. A great, private house in a quiet location close to local restaurants and shops. The security was excellent with a high fence and remote controlled gate surrounding the property. The property was spotless and equipped with excellent bedding and linen. An easy walk to the main streets of Margaret River, which is centrally located for beaches, parks and wineries. Responsive hosts with helpful local recommendations.

Very roomy house located a the heart of Margaret River downtown. Easy walking distances to supermarkets, bottleshops, bakery and restaurants. At the sametime, the house was sufficiently set back from the road and afforded tranquil enviroment.<br/>The hose was very well furnished and all ammenities worked well.<br/>Two minor suggestions from a renters point view: 1. provide shampoo and 2. offer beach towels. Other than these two minor improvement suggestions, I recommend the place highly.
