We are householders in the Margaret River region and House Down South look after our holiday rental property.

In this industry, if the service from Property Managers is poor, it is reflected in the reviews and bookings, and therefore occupation rate and income.

Communication with guests and owners needs to be spot on, and there is also a requirement for the engagement and coordination of reliable and competent ancillary services such as cleaning, linen and property maintenance services to ensure everything runs smoothly and guests are not inconvenienced at any time, as it only takes one cog in the wheel to break and the whole team effort counts for nothing.

We have found House Down South work exceptionally hard to ensure the house is presented immaculately to our guests on arrival, and that back up team remain on track at all times, which leave our guests very pleased and accordingly leave good reviews, which in turn attract more guests.

What We Do

We will photograph your home and write descriptions highlighting the best features for our website and gateway websites.

We respond to booking enquiries and maintenance issues from early in the morning until 10pm at night, sometimes later, 7 days a week.  We are renowned for our friendly and professional management style.


Screen potential guests

The collection of a bond for every booking ensures a large majority of guests behave and if they don’t, we swiftly respond to safeguard your asset.  Multiple emails prior to arriving usually determine if any foul play is likely to occur and steps are taken to prevent it if possible.  Parties and events are prohibited on our properties. Extreme vetting of guests occurs around school leavers time.

Financial management

You will receive a Monthly Statement detailing the previous month’s bookings with clear and transparent account of your income, expenses, taxes and our commission.  We will provide a yearly summary for tax purposes. Earnings are paid by bank transfer at the start of the following month.
